This policy explains what information RollaWord (rollaword.com) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

RollaWord does not require an account, and we do not ask for your real name, address or payment details.

• Leaderboard entries. When you finish a game you may be shown on a leaderboard. We store your score, the puzzle date, and the name or initials you choose to enter, using Google Firebase.
• Browser storage. The game may save small items in your browser (such as settings or progress) so it works the way you left it. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider, Vercel, and other services we use may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies and advertising

We may show ads provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Third-party services

• Google Firebase stores leaderboard data.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• Free Dictionary API is used to look up word definitions. When you tap a word to see its definition, that word is sent to the service.
• Google AdSense may serve advertising, as described above.

These services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

Children

RollaWord is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

• You can choose not to enter a name for the leaderboard.
• You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
• You can ask us to remove a leaderboard entry by contacting us with the puzzle date and the name used.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
